Who or what is For The Record?
For The Record is a product label of a Dutch company (SF Distributions BV) that is all about making it fun, affordable and easy to play analog music and to start a vinyl record collection. We do this together with creative people who are just as passionate about this mission as we are. We deliver directly to your door at the best price possible, without compromising on quality.
Where is For The Record from?
Our showroom and headquarters are based in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
Why should I choose For The Record?
Because we deliver a high-quality solution for storing your vinyl. Newly bought records will always fit because of its modular functionality, and will be presented in the most beautiful way.

Products
Who designed For The Record storage?
The Dutch designer Jeroen van Leur. Elegant constructions, refined details and surprisingly simple production methods are typical Jeroen van Leur characteristics.
Where are For The Record products made?
We have wood suppliers in the Netherlands for the production of the For The Record shelves and For The Record stand. The aluminum middle panels of our vinyl storage are made in China. For The Record frames are made in the Netherlands.
What material is used to make For The Record storage?
We have done a lot of research to get to the perfect combination of materials that gives enough support to your vinyl record collection, but is also a lightweight solution. The dividing panels and bottom frame are made of aluminum. The shelves are made of birch wood.
Which For The Record Vinyl Storage sizes are available ?
You can choose between a width of 103 cm and 150 cm. The height per layer is 35.5 cm. The first layer including the base frame is 55 cm.
How many records fit in For The Record storage?
One layer of the small size vinyl storage can hold 160 - 180 records. You can build the small storage up to five layers, containing 800 - 900 records in total.
One layer of the large size vinyl storage can hold 240 - 270 records. You can build the large storage up to six layers, containing 1440 - 1620 records in total.

What payment options are available?
You can choose to pay with the most common payment methods like Credit Card, PayPal, Apple Pay and iDEAL. If you want to pay later you can choose Klarna in the Netherlands and Germany.
Do you have a store showroom where I can physically see For The Record products?
To make For The Record as affordable as possible, we decided not to have a network of showrooms. But you can always pay us a visit at our office in the Netherlands.
Can I order online and collect from a store?
We don't sell in stores at the moment, so it is not possible to collect your order yourself.
Assembly
Where can I find help for the assembly of the For The Record storage solution?
It’s very easy to assemble your For The Record storage solution. You can find a step-by-step manual inside the box. If the manual is missing, you can download it here. If you get stuck, please don’t force anything but call us on +31 (0)30 6622470 or send us an email to help@fortherecord.eu
Do you offer an assembly service?
No, our vinyl storage systems are easy to assemble yourself.
Can I fix my For The Record storage solution to a wall?
Yes, you can. We recommend attaching a shelf to a wall if it is higher than 60cm. We'll provide you with the right amount of wall brackets, plus a special screw for each bracket that is suitable for any wall type.

How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping to the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
We can also ship worldwide and are happy to give you a quote for shipping to your country. Just send us your zip/post code and country to hello@fortherecord.eu and we'll get back to you with the shipping cost.
How is my order delivered?
We will ship your For The Record vinyl storage solution to you via our logistic partners DHL or GLS.
Dimensions of the FTR Base Module Small are 105 cm x 37 cm x 18.5 cm and 20 kg.
Dimensions of the FTR Additional Layer Small are 105 cm x 37 cm x 8.5 cm and 18 kg
Dimensions of the FTR Base Module Large are 153 cm x 37 cm x 20 cm and 23 kg.
Dimensions of the FTR Additional Layer Large are 153 cm x 37 cm x 8.5 cm and 21 kg.
How long will my delivery take?
We can ship your For the Record storage solution in 1-6 days, depending on where you live.
Can I track my delivery?
Your order confirmation will confirm the type of delivery you are expecting. You can track your order by following the tracking link in the e-mail and the latest status of your order.
Guarantee & Returns
Does For The Record come with a guarantee?
We produced and designed your For The Record vinyl storage to last a lifetime. For extra peace of mind, we give you a 2-year guarantee. For more details and the conditions, please read our Warranty.
Something is wrong with my product, what should I do?
Faulty item
If you discover a factory fault, we will always replace the damaged part for a new one. If your item is within its guarantee of 2 years, you can return the item for a replacement or refund.
Damaged/Faulty part
If you are moving a lot and you’ve assembled and disassembled your For The Record storage solution many times, it can suffer from wear and tear. Every part of your For The Record vinyl storage is replaceable, so you can always buy a new part if you want your For The Record storage solution to look brand new again.
Missing part
We can arrange for the missing part to be sent directly to you free of charge.
Can I return my product?
We understand it can take some time to get to know your For The Record storage solution. That’s why we give you 30 days to fall in love with it. If you change your mind within these 30 days, we will arrange transport to come and collect it.
